One family, one farm, one bird — the standard-bred White Cornish. We're not a hatchery and not a broiler operation. We raise the birds our great-grandparents raised, on land in Ava, Missouri, and sell what the flock has to spare.
We drove to Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch in Lindsborg, Kansas and came home with our start of the line. Frank's grandfather brought these birds over from Cornwall roughly 110 years ago; we've kept them going since.
Raised the flock in one location from 2014 to 2020, moved to southern Missouri that year, and the whole line moved with us. Every hatch since has been here in Ava.
Non-GMO. 100% organic feed. Open pasture every day. Natural mating. No shortcuts, no proprietary hybrids, no birds that can't walk to the water dish. Just a good chicken raised right.
We're not scaling this up. The flock size is what our land, our time, and the birds themselves can sustain. When we have breeding pairs to spare, they go on the availability list. When we don't, they don't.
