The White Cornish came over from England 110 years ago — Frank Reese's grandfather carried them to the plains of Kansas, and the line never left the family.
In 2014 we drove up to Frank's Good Shepherd Poultry Ranch in Lindsborg and came home with our own start of the flock. Twelve years on, they're still with us — raised in the hills of southern Missouri, through a move in 2020, and every hatch since.
They graze all day. They grow slowly, the way a chicken is supposed to. They are the same bird your great-grandmother roasted on Sunday.
